Having left Trafalgar Square, I walked up the Mall towards Buckingham Palace, with St. James Park on the left and various government or royal family-related buildings.

I remembered this tower from my first trip to London and was very glad to see that it is still doing well.

Having been to Buckingham Palace (although, shockingly, not having been invited in for a spot of tea), I continued around St. James Park to see the other side of it for the first time, while making my way toward The London Eye.

It was actually getting to be quite dark by this point and, as I did not bring my tripod, I had to be careful to minimize camera shake, because the exposures can be relatively long.  I wanted to be able to capture as much detail as possible.

I stumbled upon these incredible cottages on the far end of the Park.  I've never been married, but I thought that if I ever do, this might be a nice place to live.
