apologies to all for the length of time it has taken me to get this
done. I took the equivalent of 42 rolls of 24-exposure film
(1,000 photographs) this year and have spent more than a week of
14-hour days processing all of the shots in Photoshop and editing them
down to make a presentation which would capture the spirit of the
parade, which I love. I am a veteran myself and look forward all
year to being able to spend the day in the company of men and women who
have made sacrifices for their country and the friends and family who
support them. I am so proud that patriots still exist and are
passing the torch.

Grand Marshall was well-known actor and veteran, Gunnery Sergeant
R. Lee Ermey, USMC (Ret.). Although perhaps best known for his
role as Gunnery Sergeant Hartman in Stanley Kubrick's Full Metal Jacket, people really love his Geico commercial.
Everyone expected him to be funny, but I was pleasantly surprised to
find him to be so nice to people. I've dealt with minor and major
celebrities over the years and it is rare to find one who is so willing
to pose for pictures and give autographs to fans. He's a movie
star in my book. I would be remiss if I did not post a link to a
cause Mr. Ermey is very passionate about, The Marine Corps Identity Cause. Semper Fi, Gunny.
