2005 Muscular Dystrophy Association Ride
12 June, 2005
I met Daner Woods last year, when I was taking pictures of the Candy Apple Red softtail custom chopper built for him by Earl Small's Harley-Davidson. Each year he hosts the Rolling On For MDA Ride, benefiting the Muscular Dystrophy Association and his company, United Service Association for Health Care, makes a large donation. Although I was stuck in traffic near Town Center Mall, where the ride originated, and could not take pictures of the start, I was able to make my way over to Glover Park (a.k.a. "The Square" in Marietta) before the riders arrived there and get some shots in before the clouds finally erupted. As usual, the Cobb County Police Special Services Motor Unit provided their impeccable escort of the ride (it's pretty darned impressive to see them coming up the street in perfect formation), there was a pretty large turnout and some great people donated a lot of money to a worthy cause.
